...The Warehouse Sale...
Lo ‘real warehouse sales on 26 April 2008, with featuring brands such as Giorgio Armani, Lancome, Bioterm, Shu Uemura, Ralph Lauren and etc… I was so excited when I found out about the sales, and also expecting a lot of people to turn up so we left Subang around 845am…??? Reach Park Royal at 910am ??? 50 minutes before the warehouse sales and the line is already at the side walk….
The queue was so long and people there were not giving any cooperation to the hotel managers/ staffs… Pushing and cutting lines and the queue was getting fatter and fatter… no matter how they ask us to stay back and leave some space for people to come out it just didn’t work.. From the place I was standing when we just arrived, it took us 1 hr to get to the front of the queue… while queuing we discovered that there are so many interesting mobile phone games, from tetris , bejeweled, to tennis games and etc… it was so bored and hot and stuffy standing there everyone just took out there phone… It got even more exciting and impatient when consumers walking out from the ball room with big big bags of good… just by looking at all the nice boxes just got us very anxious and envious.. And knowing that the ballroom was very small and can’t fit all of us in there made us even more impatient..
Okay… an hour of standing and being pushed by other people, we got to go in FINALLY.. once the door open for us., WOW…. Look at the people in there… and it’s a REALLY small ballroom for a warehouse sales… everyone was like in a battlefield battling their way to the products…. Ok… the room looks like a battlefield ( overall).. There are people on the floor checking out what they grabbed at every corner and some still going on battle at the counters….
If I said overall the ballroom look like a battlefield, well… I have to say that Shu Uemura counter is world war 2… no kidding, Ladies, girls and guys all battling their way in pushing and stepping and there’s this GUY……in front !!! god knows what he wants Shu Uemura cosmetics for…. Being in there for at least half an hour and the girls there are just waiting to strangle him…. Jenli told me he took up some products and went like who want this…. And all… then a girl ask him if she could take a look the blusher he was holding and he said this is the last 1 and it’s mine… I know what you must be thinking what bitch right….???
I’m sorry, no hard feelings please but I really want to get this statement out…. There’s not as much skinny people like me and jenli there, most of them are quite big size… in fact some are really big size, some even 3 times of me, just imagine battling with them, 1 step and gone… and being pushed by them, we got bounced here and there…
After battling to get to the front of the line for 15 mins and failed terribly cos we din even got anywhere close…. Jenli and I gave up.. and I was very disappointed cos it was really worth buying and we didn’t get anything from Shu Uemura…
At least I got Ralph Lauren’s Rock 60ml perfume for RM60… Cachararel’s Promise 60ml perfume set with a body lotion and a body wash for Rm100… Lancome’s limited edition lip gloss set for Rm60… Lo’real professional hair mask and wax for Rm 25 each ( normal price Rm 50 a bottle) and 2 Shampoo Rm20 each… when we decided to leave and there where bags of products along the cashier queue… Products that were battled for we all left unattended there, was not wanted… so we kinda went through the stuff and found my self with a Lancome mascara and 2 Shu Uemura liquid eye liner 1 for Jenli… grabbed them ran too the counter got the prices and pay… haha…. At least I got something last minute..
We came out from the ballroom 1245pm nearly 1pm…around there can’t really remember… and the big fat and long queue had transform into a thinner, slimmer line and well controlled… as we walked out of Park Royal the line was so long that it’s even reaching Lot10..
I really wonder how early those people that came before us… We guessed 6am…
